Sunday Morning December 19th

Josh was pretty stable all night. The doctors are still working
hard to keep his vital signs strong, while minimizing the pressure
in his head. They have many effective tools to accomplish this,
as the body and brain change in response to medication and stimuli
throughout the day and night.

Josh is resting comfortably this morning in a dimmly light room overlooking
the woods, while classical music plays quietly in the background. There are
some who will tell you that it helps to visualize a loved one while you are
praying for their health. So I hope this will help you to see where
Josh is, in your mind.

We want to again thank the Upattinas community, family and friends, and the
incredible staff at Paoli Hospital for your continued support. We could never
endure this experience without you all.

The Bonjos

  3. That sounds like such a wonderful place to rest. Someone should read him stories if it's not too much stimulation, I think he'd enjoy that.

  7. Dear Darling, Mike and Rose and family-
    Today my Mom-Toshi's Nanny- attended
Abington Friends meeting (where we grew up) and asked for prayers and for Josh to be held in the light as I know so many others have done.

Thanks for describing Josh's surroundings. Somehow knowing you are all able to see nature and trees makes it easier to wait, and to picture him healing.

We have you all in our hearts each moment.
    Love

  11. Hoping tomorrow will be a banner day to start Josh on a new level of recovery! Offered Mass for him today and lit candles to the Blessed Mother that She might hold Josh in her arms just like she did Baby Jesus....remember that it is the season of miracles!!!
We are so thankful for this blog to keep us updated. We'll be checking in anxiously tomorrow for the events of the day.
    Sending all our Love,
    Michele & Brian

  13. Hi, I am Bill and Donna Leases' Pastor. Donna talked with me and told what had happened. I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I am praying for you all and especially for Josh. I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you all. Know that you do not face this time alone, but you have myself and many, many others praying. Know that God knows you heart, He knows you hurt and pain, and He cares. Though I cannot say as to why God allows for things like this to happen, what I do know however is that He can do anything, and He will meet you right where you are at. I know that he knows when a sparrow falls to th ground, how many hairs are on our head, and He has named every star. So if He know all of these things, how much more does He care for us? I pray you are encouraged and lifted up tonight, even in this difficult time. I personally will be praying for Josh and his recovery. "Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.".

  16. Dear Darling, Mike and Rose,
Coming into Upattinas for the first time this year this past monday and hearing about Josh, my heart sank. In the same moment hearing about what had happened- there was disbelief.. something like this.. it is unimaginable. I just feel in my being that everything has to be okay, even if not now, in the future- this will all be okay and there will be many smiles and energy. That feeling just keeps spreading all throughout me, that Josh is going to be alright, can't stop thinking about you all. When I think about your family in my mind I see art, I see light, I see happiness and, togetherness. I don't think I know or know of any- more connected lovely family- and I will be continuing to keep Josh in my positive energy waves, thoughts, and heart. Something like this is so unexpected, you would never think it to happen especially to such a peaceful, talented, young, wonderful friend, brother, son, artist, just entire soul..a being of wonderful and amazing things.
I send a hug from over here in Berwyn.
    Love,
    Olivia -(Liv)

  18. Loving Father, we entrust Josh to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, that he may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around him. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.
